But in reality micromanagement does no good for both managers and employees. Managers waste too much time checking on their team and controlling them, while employees lose their confidence and stop trying to take the initiative.     If you are being micro-managed by your boss, you may need to re-evaluate whether you are in the right job and with the right employer. There really is nothing as disempowering as having your boss stand over you and check every element of your work, often making minor alterations to your output that don’t make a great deal of sense. This of course presumes that you are not untrained, naturally inclined to be lazy, incompetent or you simply want to be led by the nose the whole time.

    More managers nowadays would actually not prefer micromanagement. Most often, people that get hired are those that can work with less supervision. Providing qualified training to employees is very right to avoid micromanagement. Good to read this! Thanks for the share!

    Good points, however the key to achieving quality works is creativity. A web designer must be creative enough to thing of original design concepts because in our world today, it’s hard to tell which is original and which is copycat.
