The business world has been slowly moving over to the internet entirely over the past decade, and all indicators point to the fact that it will continue to keep happening. Now, many businesses do more business online than they do at their physical locations, and most of a business’ marketing and advertising is now also done on the internet. So, to sum it all up, in order to run a successful business these days, the business owner must know the internet, must know the latest technology available to his company via the internet and must know how to utilize those tools in the most efficient and beneficial way possible. It all sounds like it can be very difficult, which is true, but it does not have to be. By knowing the following three websites, you will have a headstart that most businesses that are not internet or tech savvy have no clue about. There are tons and tons of resources on the web for any business owner, but these are a few that will do wonders for any business, as long as they are used effectively, creatively and successfully.

Facebook and Twitter

Obviously, social media sites in all their forms are very important for any business these days. If your business is lacking a social media presence, then you are missing out on the ability to gain many new clients and customers and are missing out on the opportunity to build a bond with customers on a mass scale that was nearly impossible before the advent of social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. The best thing is that these sites are not hard to learn and master, in fact, they are quite easy to figure out. The best thing to do is to ask around with businesses in your area which run social media campaigns that you like. See what they do right, and do your best to copy it, but to also add your own flavor. After all, you want to connect with your customers, and these sites will help you do that.

This site is a very easy way to find legal papers, and learn about all kinds of legal practices and documents without consulting an actual lawyer first. It is a cheap and easy way to get the legal help you need in terms of documents and other things, and thus is a great resource for any business.

  1. More and more business owners have been using the internet as a tool to gain more customers, prospects and do more business. In fact, many businesses are now doing at least as much in the way of sales or lead generation online as offline.

The author also points out that every good business owner should be aware of some key sites. The first category are the social networks, like Facebook and Twitter. These sites represent great ways to not only a huge number of potential clients and customers to your network, but is also an excellent way to stay connected with them and enhance your trust.

Legal Zoom is a great place to find simple online legal forms and documents. No need for a lawyer, since they have already been approved for use in your state.

Finally, anyone who needs some help managing projects should consider Asana. I had not heard of this one, but it looks like a great place to share details of projects, collaborate on documents and things like that.

  2. Great Share, Social Media is just Getting now Bored, But For marketing its becoming more popular 🙂

  3. “This site is a very easy way to find legal papers, and learn about all kinds of legal practices and documents without consulting an actual lawyer first.”

I did not know about Legal Zoom. Sounds like a very valuable resource, thanks. I was in situations before that I needed to create a legal document and had to look for templates on Google and then rewrite them, which was not easy…

  4. Another good one (for developers I guess) is donedone. It helps you put errors on a site and send it to someone else to fix. Basically easy tracking and keeping records of bugs/errors.

  5. I’m interested to see how Asana really works. If it works as good as you say it does, then it’ll add as a great resource for startups who want to work on other things aside from site content. This will level the playing field for healthier competition.
