Apple succeeds judgment obstructing US sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is nowadays at the targeted position. Apple had made a case against Samsung for copying the design patterns of iPhones and iPads. Although, Samsung Smartphones and Galaxy Tabs are very attractive phones of the recent era but this case will affect the prestige of Samsung. Samsung Galaxy phones are making their value in the market but such incidents cause problems for any Company. There is another incident occurred in Dublin in which Samsung Galaxy S III caught fire when a person was driving his car and the phone was on the dash board. With reference to an IDC report from March 2012 Apple’s iPads had captured 54.7% market share in 2011 where as Samsung Tabs had captured only 5.8 % market share.

Apple’s Case against Samsung

The sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 have been banned in the United States of America. Californian District Judge banned the sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 after hearing an appeal from Apple for copying the design of iPhones and iPads. Apple said that copying our creative ideas of making iPhones and iPads and launching the phone having almost same design is illegal. We are the competitors but this is illegal. In almost 10 different countries, 30 legal cases are being reported. Apple and Samsung are engaged in the legal battles since April 2011 when the Apple Company appealed against Samsung. Apple has won same rulings in other territories like Germany and Australia in which Apple forced Samsung to change the design of its products.  The court also prohibits Samsung to import any device which is just similar to the Apple iPhones and iPads into the country. There is always a competition between the companies but competing in such a manner like copying the products of each other is illegal. Apple has made a legal appeal and it is the right of Apple to do anything for the security of its products. Apple is going to deliver $2.6 million bond which will cover the damages Samsung bear if the court finds the case wrong.

Sad news for Samsung

Samsung said that this case has disappointed them a lot but we are planning to appeal against this case. Our products are of high quality and we want our customers in the U.S. to continue enjoying the latest features of Samsung Tabs and Smartphones. Only Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is affected because Samsung Tab 10.2 is free from this case. Samsung said that other Galaxy Tabs are easily approachable and these tabs are not the key products of Samsung so it will not create any serious impact on the earnings of Samsung.

Apple and Samsung are both extraordinary companies which are making extraordinary products but they are like enemies of each other. As we all know that both companies always look to attack on each other in a legal way and here is an example of Apple’s case against Samsung. People are waiting for this case to be resolved.
