Social Media Strategies for Bloggers

January 21, 2021 Posted by admin Marketing 4 Comments

Social media is a giant, and getting into this complex world could be a bit difficult. It provides a number of platforms that allow you to spend your time for fun or to interact with a wide range of audiences from all around the world. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest are the major names in the social media world. Do keep this fact in mind that social media is not as difficult as it sounds and should be utilized by bloggers because social media and blogging go hand in hand.

Social media strategies are important for the bloggers because they not only allow the blogger to reach a wide range of audience but also provide them with extra knowledge. This article will tell you how a social media strategy should be developed and how it can help the blogger to grow.

Choose a Suitable Platform

The first and most important thing is to pick a social media platform that can bring you the best results requiring minimum efforts and budget. But most of the experts recommend to start from one platform and then move forward to another as well because the more you promote, the more people a blog will reach. Below are some tips regarding each social media platform.

Facebook:

Facebook includes a wide range of audiences from kids to old age people. It is a great way to engage with people from all around the world and drive traffic to your blog. If you have a large community, you may find other brands that offer you sponsorships. You should know:

  • How and when to post your blog.
  • How to utilize facebook’s sponsored ads feature.
  • How and where to boost your blogs.

Instagram:

Instagram is the most loved and used social media platform and people love to spend a lot of time because of its uploading and sharing features for pictures, videos, and stories. According to a survey, this is the most favorite way of connecting to people. Your Instagram strategy may include:

  • Gaining likes, shares, followers to build a large community.
  • Including the right captions that can urge the readers to visit your blog and read it.
  • Posting creative photos and stories that can attract the audiences to your blog.

Pinterest:

As its name suggests, this is like a pin-board that allows you to pin your favorite photos and categorize them to get them wherever you need. Here you can post attractive pictures that define the trends and the topic of your blog. Experts suggest that Pinterest is one of the leading social media platforms when it comes to blogging.

Twitter:

Twitter should be your last option but if you are able to gain a lot of followers on the platform, you may start getting benefits regarding your blogs on this platform as well. Twitter is considered the least suitable option for bloggers because people usually spend only a minor time of their life on Twitter.

Factors that result in a Successful Social Media Strategy:

  • Set Goals and Objectives
  • Know your Audience
  • Analyze Social Media
  • Develop your Profile
  • Create Attractive Titles/Captions
  • Share your Old Blog Posts

Set Goals and Objectives:

The best thing you can do is to define your goals and then start working to achieve your objectives. If you want to get successful through social media, you need a plan which can be followed constantly. A strategy cannot be developed until you have some aims.

Experts suggest that defining goals as a strategy increases the probability of success by 30% to 40% because if you have a strategy, you will know how to achieve your goals. Your strategy should include some aims such as:

  • Reach up to 5,000 accounts on Facebook or Instagram.
  • Don’t include minor or unrelated things as your goals because they can waste your time and budget.
  • Arrange your goals in a pattern so that you initiate from the right point.
  • Always set a specific period to achieve an aim.
  • Follow the SMART rule to design your goals which means that your goals should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound.

Know your Audience:

Knowing your audience is the key factor in social media strategy. Study their likes, dislikes, and public trends as well. In this way, you will be able to create blogs in a way that will be liked by the audience and it will urge them to comment and share as well. This will help you to turn your blog visitors into your followers and regular readers. You should gather data and determine your targeted audiences on the basis of:

  • Age
  • Interests
  • Hobbies
  • Jobs
  • Location
  • Income
  • Trends
Analyze Social Media:

Spending a lot of time on the platform and analyzing it, will provide you with a lot of useful information. With the collected information, you will not only be able to know the trends and interests of the people but knowing your competitors will also help you improve your content.

Develop your Profile:

Analyze the social media accounts that attract and urge you to follow them. Audit the profile to see how they have developed their profile, what type of pictures and captions they use, their about page, etc. Audit the profiles of your competitors because each account will bring you a unique factor to attract people. This will help you to design your profile in a great way.

Create Attractive Titles/Captions:

While sharing posts on a social media platform, the title should be a summary of your complete blog. Create a unique and attractive title because messy and ambiguous titles are usually dropped by the viewers.

You can create a title as “How to Grow Followers on Instagram”, but it could also be written as “You will be amazed to see that How this Person Grew his Instagram Followers”. Share your post at the peak time with the best suitable and relevant hashtags to ensure maximum reach of your blog.

Share your Old Blog Post:

Sharing the old post with a new title and new picture can also increase traffic to your post. There are possibilities that the previous title or picture of a post you shared before was not attractive for the users but a new title and picture may urge them to visit that blog.

There are WordPress plugins as well that have the features to re-tweet, re-post, or share your old posts without any hassle. You can design a schedule and the plugin will keep on sharing the blogs at the set time.

I love a social media strategy it’s my passion and it’s great to hear other people’s perceptions of the best strategies. I’ve spent the last year really focusing on creating a strong SEO and website strategy that this is the year that I practice what I preach with my socials! It’s a full-time role in itself but this post summarises it all perfectly. Thank you for simplifying things when we have a tendency to overcomplicate!
