Back links or one way linking is one of the major boost for any website designers or bloggers when it comes to website design and Seo but how can we do this and what are the best practices firstly i must warned you i am nota SEO expert i am just trying to share my knowledge and the understanding i achieved or the years in regards to search engines. One thing to point out here your website benefits more from quality incoming links than out going ones and again remember content is king

Content

The single and biggest technique for gaining natural organic back links by this i mean writing killer contents that get index in all search engines especially Google which as ware quite aware has become the giant of all search engines. So getting your website index in Google will generate natural back links to your website.Stick to the basics of producing lots of good quality original content related to your website topics and get as many quality incoming links as you can. There are lots of hungry readers out there just waiting for you fresh contents.

Comments

Leaving comments on other blogs will get you some back links there are drawbacks to this some blogs uses no-follow links and many believes that search engine like Google doesn’t value or count this as a genuine back link this may be true as we as bloggers does this to preserve our own page ranks we can argue if this is true or not my reason for saying this is that websites like Digg  is said to be one of the big guns that doesn’t uses no-follow links yet its has a page-rank of 8 and again when you leave a comment on some one else’s blogs you also introduces yourself to other bloggers this is free marketing.

Link Exchanging

Another great way to get back links to your website how often you receive an email in your inbox saying “I have found your great website on Google offering link exchange and would like to exchange links with you and your link is place here at this address” i have received dozens of these request as bloggers you cannot throw caution to the wind choose your site carefully be conscious of the website you are linking with no there is no benefit for your website which promotes Seo to be linking with a website which promotes selling weapons.

Guest Post

This is another valuable source to gather back links on like article submission where your post is submitted in a specific category and some times to find it you have to search through hundreds of article to find it a guest post appears on the front page of  the blog the post is written for. it this blog has lots of traffic then this can form a domino effect and leads those visitors to your website.

Try some of these tips and see which one works best for you change the ones that doesn’t  and stick with those that works and improve on these ones good luck with your back links leave your comments and let us hear your views.

  1. Thanks, for this informative article on getting backlinks. I follow most the tips which you have mentioned above but have never tried guest post.

Your blog posts are very easy to understand and so useful for everyone. 🙂

  2. Great post. If you ask me, I would say that getting backlinks becomes much more easier if you have a well developed site with quality content. Then its most likely that you will be fetching more natural links. Sure there are other ways but then they are not as good as this one.

  3. I agree with you brother. This is a great article, people always talk about back links but they didn’t mentioned how to get it. I think all promotions activities will give us some back links and about the content, yes we must always try to create a rich and useful contents that everybody looking for 🙂
    Thanks for sharing with us.

  4. Good tips Lawmacs. If I may, I would like to add that link exchanges no longer that much value as it used to. Google views these type of links as reciprocal and therefore ignore them. It is good however for generating additional traffic (not organic), because people who read your blog might check out the blogs you recommend.

All of these tips (with the exception of link exchange) are powerful and effective, especially guest posting. Now, you have to take action for this to work. Good stuff, keep it up

  5. I’m not sure that Google completely discounts nofollow links. I’ve heard of people saying they can show up in Webmaster tools. If this is the case then I would have thought that Google assigns at least some value to them, even if not as much as normal links.

  6. Nice article, back links are very important to increase the page rank, all are agreed on this, you have described the topic in very understandable way.
    thanks

  7. Great advice there… One of the things that I struggle with is my content and am now improving and my page rank is also coming up. I think you need to post more on the topic as am a new blogger.

  8. But is link exchanging safe, i am asking that because recently we had a case study of a site who got penalized just because they had exchanged links from some site who later on got banned by Google and some were relevant as well.
