Building a Site on WordPress: The Benefits

June 16, 2012 Posted by Gary Web Design 14 Comments

To build a site on WordPress is to utilize one of the most popular, user-friendly and enduring blog sites on the internet. WordPress is indeed used mainly by bloggers, and they have always reported nothing but good things about the service’s features, ease-of-access and opportunities to create something unique and appealing through its tool and apps.

But there’s much more to WordPress than just having a place to create a blog of opinions, ideas, reviews, videos, music and images. All of these things are at the disposal of anyone who wants to use them (and there are even more features to enjoy if you purchase a premium account), but someone with a creative mind can do even more than that. It is very, very possible to build a site on WordPress, and use everything WordPress puts before you to create something that is going to catch the eye. You can use WordPress to attract visitors, and keep them coming.

9 Reasons Why WordPress Is Great

1.) Its here to stay. WordPress has been around for years now, and it’s only getting more and more popular. There are sites similar, but WordPress stands out to those who want something that is both sophisticated and uncomplicated. The number of websites powered by WordPress continues to grow every year.

2.) As stated before, blogging is only the start of what WordPress offers. They’re capable of helping you manage, develop and nurture websites both business and personal.

3.) Another point worth making again is that WordPress is largely a free service. Everything you need does not come with a charge. Only those who need more of what they’re giving away for free need to consider purchasing a premium account.

4.) Search engines like Google often feature WordPress sites and blogs at the very top of their search results.

5.) If you do want to go the premium account route, you can be rest assured that you’re not going to have to spend a ton of money. Even the content they ask you to pay for is extremely cheap.

6.) WordPress is open-source. What this means is that the general public has access to its code. This grants you an incredible degree of flexibility. With WordPress the possibilities really do seem endless.

7.) Because it’s code is available to people all over the world, you can count on WordPress having a considerably impressive global community of users and people just like you.

8.) WordPress is ridiculously easy to use. The deeper you go, the more complex it may become, but at that point you’ll already be so familiar with the site that even this aspect will not be too much of a hassle.

9.) The plugins offered on WordPress’ dashboard give you a wide range of solutions to any problem that might arise. There are a seemingly endless number to choose from. There’s really not a whole lot you can’t do with this site.

A better question to ask than “Why should I build a site on WordPress” is “Why shouldn’t I?”

I guess that any person who wants to start a blog should try WorldPress and I’m ready to bet that they will never leave this platform any time soon. What I like the most about WorldPress is that the code is open-source and this gives me the assurance that every time when the web standards are changing, or a bug in the platform is revealed, someone will come with a solution.

WordPress is by far the best CMS platform I’ve used to date. I use it on a majority of my clients websites although I wish they would implement a way to overwrite media files. Maybe one day.

Thanks for this informative content. This is true, whenever anyone thinks about blogging, the only name which strikes the mind is “WordPress”. With so many benefits, such as free services and being in the top listing of the search engines, the WordPress is similar to a sword which can be managed very easily.
